About Kernl
Kernl is an Australian software company building intuitive AI tools for aged and disability care providers so they can specialise in people, not admin. Our tools are designed to be used by both frontline workers and central team members, and are built with enterprise-grade security, meeting the needs of organisations that handle sensitive information.
The Kernl team has deep experience in delivering care and support having built disability tech services since the roll out of the NDIS over a decade ago. We are also family members and advocates of people with disability.
The easiest way to understand Kernl and what drives us is to read our founding story.
About the role
As an Implementation Strategist, you’ll lead the first 90 days of a customer’s journey with Kernl. Your job is to help organisations go from signing a contract to using Kernl confidently, achieving breakthrough innovations and fundamentally changing how they work and serve clients.
You’ll design and run implementations, partner deeply with customer teams to map their current operations and translate them into AI-native ways of working that fit their care model, and lead the change management that makes the new way stick. You’ll also help Kernl improve how we implement at scale, by turning what works into repeatable approaches, playbooks and AI-enabled tools the rest of the team can use to move faster.
This role combines hands-on delivery with thoughtful problem-solving. You’ll need to be comfortable working closely with customers, managing projects and shaping how Kernl builds a repeatable implementation practice over time.
What you’ll do
- Own the full 90-day implementation process, from pilot through to live use
- Partner with Account Executives to maintain customer continuity and deepen the relationship through implementation
- Map current operations with customer teams through working sessions and desktop reviews of their existing policies, SOPs, training material and systems, so we genuinely understand how care gets delivered today
- Translate current-state operations into the AI-native operating model Kernl enables, care-specific by design, and walk customer leadership through what changes for each persona (frontline worker, team leader, area manager, central operations, quality, clinical)
- Lead change management to make the new way stick: shifting roles and responsibilities, rewriting policies into practical protocols, building manager confidence in AI-assisted decisions and equipping frontline teams to use Kernl in flow
- Run governance for enterprise implementations through working syncs with the operational sponsor and steering committees that keep operations, finance, quality, IT and investor stakeholders aligned
- Co-design design-partner workflows where appropriate (for example incident management, compliance dashboards), pulling customer expertise directly into the Kernl product roadmap
- Develop repeatable implementation frameworks and playbooks, while adapting to each customer’s operating model and risk posture
- Build and improve the AI-enabled tools Account Executives and Implementation Strategists use to move faster, including pricing and ROI calculators, workflow mapping templates, project plan and Gantt generators, report quality scorecards and structured synthesis agents
- Build strong product knowledge so you can guide setup decisions, explain value to different audiences and honestly distinguish standard product behaviour from configuration, roadmap and out-of-scope
- Manage technical implementations across the customer’s existing tech stack (rostering, workforce management, billing, EMR, document management), liaising between the Kernl product team and the customer
